valores de reflect{\^a}ncia, foram calculados cinco
{\'{\i}}ndices de vegeta{\c{c}}{\~a}o (SR, NDVI, SAVI, EVI e
ARVI) para cada imagem. Os valores dos {\'{\i}}ndices
correspondentes aos fragmentos da vegeta{\c{c}}{\~a}o foram
extra{\'{\i}}dos e analisados. Os resultados obtidos mostraram
que os valores de todos os {\'{\i}}ndices de
vegeta{\c{c}}{\~a}o foram maiores no per{\'{\i}}odo chuvoso
comparado ao per{\'{\i}}odo seco. Isso indica que a {\'a}rea
foliar fotossinteticamente ativa da fitofisionomia analisada foi
maior no per{\'{\i}}odo chuvoso comparado ao per{\'{\i}}odo
seco, conforme esperado, com os {\'{\i}}ndices mostrando
diferentes sensibilidades para detectar esta diferen{\c{c}}a.
ABSTRACT: The Cerrado is considered one of the world's
biodiversity hotspots. The objective of this work is to
characterize the seasonal phenological behavior of riparian forest
fragments of the Cerrado, in central-western Brazil, in response
to the variation in precipitation (rainy and dry period) for the
year 2010, using vegetation indices calculated from Hyperion/EO-1
data. After converting the images into surface reflectance, five
vegetation indices (SR, NDVI, SAVI, EVI e ARVI) were calculated
for each image. Their values over the fragments of the vegetation
were extracted and analyzed. The results showed that the values of
all vegetation indices analyzed were higher in the rainy period
compared to the dry period. This indicates that the
photosynthetically active leaf area of the analyzed
phytophysiognomy was higher in the rainy period than in the dry
period, as expected, with vegetation indices having distinct
                         sensitivity to detect such difference.",
